PSSI To Present Mayweather vs. Ortiz Pay-Per-View Fight

On September 17th, PSSI-Strategic Television will manage an extensive transmission package for HBO Pay-Per-View’s broadcast of the Mayweather vs. Ortiz fight from the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.

The U.S. Pay-Per-View portion of the event will require HD C-band and Ku-band transmissions from PSSI uplink trucks as well as SD transmissions via fiber and a C-band uplink. The show will also be broadcast as a Pay-Per-View in Puerto Rico and as an HD broadcast internationally.

PSSI-Strategic Television will transmit media events throughout the week leading up to the main event. To add to the complexity of the week, the final show will require the insertion of a bout from Staples Center in Los Angeles into the overall production.

PSSI-Strategic Television will transmit the fight from Los Angeles via HD Ku-band satellite and fiber to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and the fights from Las Vegas will be transmitted back to Los Angeles in HD for presentation to the audience at Staples Center.

In addition to the television broadcasts, PSSI-Strategic Television will also manage telephonic communications for the TV compound and ringside commentary positions for several international broadcasters both in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
