MLB’s Elizabeth Scott Departs to Head Up Lincoln Center Media, Digital Efforts

Major League Baseball’s former VP of Programming and Business Affairs Elizabeth W. Scott has been appointed Chief Media and Digital Officer at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. In the newly-created position, Scott will lead Lincoln Center’s media and digital strategy across all Lincoln Center departments.

Scott joined MLB in 1999 as Counsel, Productions and Advertising. For the past eight years, as Vice President, Programming and Business Affairs for MLB Productions, she has managed the programming unit and audio-visual asset archive and overseen the division’s award-winning series and original programming production and distribution businesses, as well as the licensing and asset management of MLB’s game and footage archives.

Scott will assume her new position at Lincoln Center on October 11. As Chief Media and Digital Officer, she will build relationships with digital partners, identify new distribution channels, and explore new opportunities with theaters, outdoor, television, radio, Internet, mobile and social platforms. In addition, Ms. Scott will help to secure corporate partners and funders for Lincoln Center’s digital activities. She also will oversee all long-form broadcast media production, including Live From Lincoln Center. Since 2007, she has been a member of the New Media & New Ventures Advisory Committee to the Lincoln Center Board, as well as a member of Lincoln Center’s Counsels’ Council.

“As a result of our dramatic physical transformation, Lincoln Center is becoming a 24/7 destination and we are working to ensure that patrons and visitors have access to Lincoln Center information and content, whenever and however they want it,” says President Reynold Levy. “Elizabeth brings a breadth of experience that will be of enormous help in reaching new audiences, a fundamental part of our mission. Given Lincoln Center’s unparalleled archive of past performances, her expertise in unlocking the value of assets in an ever-evolving media landscape also will be invaluable.”
