Chyron’s Greg Lennon To Present Keynote at 2011 Rocky Mountain AVX

Greg Lennon, director of product management for Chyron, has been selected to provide the keynote speech at the 2011 Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo (AVX) in Denver.

Presenting on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 9:15 a.m., Lennon will speak on the topic of content in the cloud, which will address the technological advances that have made today’s cloud-based services possible and provide an overview of the architecture supporting those services. In addition, the presentation will showcase examples of cloud-based content creation tools and their features and benefits.

“Cloud computing stretches back decades, but the success of this model on a broad scale has been quite recent,” said Lennon. “I look forward to providing some insight into this technology and its development, to discussing applications of the cloud-based model at the 2011 Rocky Mountain AVX, and to detailing the value that this approach can bring to the Pro A/V environment.”

Lennon has nearly 25 years of experience in the broadcast television industry working with both vendors and content producers. Originally a graphic designer and CG operator, he worked extensively in live sports broadcasting for nearly 20 years before joining Chyron in 2004. He launched Channel Box, Chyron’s real-time channel branding product, in 2006 and has been involved in most aspects of Chyron’s workflow solutions. Following the company’s acquisition of AXIS Graphics in 2008, Lennon was instrumental in Chyron’s evolution into a service-oriented company. Today he oversees the development and implementation of Chyron’s SaaS (Software as a Service) products.

Hosted Oct. 19-20 at the Crowne Plaza Denver International Airport, the 2011 Rocky Mountain AVX brings together industry leaders at more than 100 booths. In addition to featuring the video, sound, broadcast, animation, engineering, and media experts that have attended this regional expo for the past 20 years, this year’s show promises a whole new level of expertise in the A/V, conferencing, presentation, HD, and 3D fields.
