Signiant To Host Latest Thought Leadership Forum

Signiant, a provider of software that automates, accelerates, and manages the secure transfer of file-based media, will host its latest Thought Leadership Forum, “File-Based Workflows for the Digital Age,” on Tuesday, Nov. 15. The panel discussion will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the W Hotel Washington, at 515 15th Street NW in Washington, D.C.

The Thought Leadership Forum panel will feature Wendy Allen, V.P. of the Media Operations Center and Media Library, PBS; Brinton Miller, V.P. of engineering, Discovery Communications; Tom Ohanian, business development, digital media strategy, Cisco; and Thomas Youkel, group chief of enterprise systems engineering, Library of Congress.

“While the media and entertainment industry may have paved the way for the move to ‘all digital’ initiatives, the trend presents challenges for any leading-edge industry,” said Robert Browne, Signiant founder and vice president of business development and cloud solutions. “At this forum, we will discuss the hurdles that need to be overcome for an organization to move to all-digital workflows and the benefits to be expected from implementation.”

Led by Browne, the discussion will focus on how media professionals can capitalize on new and evolving opportunities in the market by expanding global collaboration and partnerships that enable the seamless exchange of content outside the enterprise. Panel members will share their own experiences, ranging from how to manage, move and secure priceless American treasures once they are digitized, to managing and moving television and Web content throughout internal operations and multiple online distribution endpoints.
