Thought Equity Inks Exclusive Licensing Deal with Mountain West Conference

Thought Equity Motion, a provider of cloud-based video management and licensing services, has signed a multi-year, exclusive licensing deal with the Mountain West Conference.

Under the new agreement, Thought Equity Motion is enabling digital access to the Conference’s entire video library—covering memorable moments in college basketball, football, volleyball, soccer and many other sports—and adding the content to its T3 Platform. Full length games and clips from the Mountain West archive will be available for licensing through www.thoughtequity.com in early May 2012.

“Thought Equity Motion is enhancing the accessibility of our video heritage, enabling Mountain West enthusiasts to watch and engage with even more of their favorite athletes and moments since our inception,” said Dan Butterly, associate commissioner-marketing, Mountain West. “Starting in the second quarter of next year, sports broadcasters and producers will be able to search, preview and download our content within seconds. The company is digitizing and encoding our master-quality video files so that every asset within our library can be transcoded and optimized for any digital platform or screen.”

“We look forward to developing the value of the Mountain West’s digital rights and helping the conference launch new video-powered product offerings in the years ahead,” said Kevin Schaff, CEO & Founder of Thought Equity Motion. “We’re currently digitizing the Conference’s master-quality video assets and adding ‘smart content’ metadata tags to enhance the utility of the library for on-demand licensing and future opportunities that can grow consumer interest and extend the life of live broadcasts.”
