LTS Showcase Preview: A Roundup of Exhibitor Offerings, Part 3

The 2011 League Technology Summit is fast approaching, and SVG will have more exhibitors on the Technology Showcase floor than ever before. Leading up to LTS, SVG is highlighting the new products and latest technologies that will be on display at the New York Hilton Dec. 13.

Bexel
Bexel will offer attendees a closer look at leading camera systems and audio- and lighting-technology solutions for the sports-broadcast industry and will demonstrate technology essentials for sports broadcasts.

The Calrec Hydra2 features plug-and-play architecture that enables consoles to be connected via their routers, with a single connection between routers providing 512 audio signals (digital, analog, MADI) in both directions and enormous network expansion.

The Camera Corps Q-Ball is an ultra-compact, remotely controlled camera with an integral 10x zoom optical lens and smooth-accelerating pan/tilt motors housed in a robust and fully weatherproof 115-mm-diameter aluminum sphere.

The latest addition to the company’s comprehensive range of multichannel audio-monitoring units, TSL’s PAM1-3G8 is now complemented by PAM2-3G16, featuring dual high-resolution OLED screens, 16 channels, and optional Dolby decoding.

Ericsson will showcase its flexible and scalable news gathering product, the Voyager II Multi-Format Integrated DSNG, which provides maximum flexibility, performance, and interoperability while delivering the best return on investment to operators and service providers. In addition to offering both SD and HD MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC, the versatile platform now adds support for JPEG 2000.

Ikegami
Ikegami will display the HiMotion II super-slo-mo HD camera. A cooperative development with NAC Image Technology – a leader in advanced imaging and motion-analysis systems – Ikegami’s HiMotion II system features a three-CMOS sensor camera head with built-in memory, delivering greater-than-10-times speed (10x) for thrilling super-slow-motion playback of HD sports action. This dual-format 1080i/720p camera features parallel live and replay feeds for use as both a “traditional” portable/field HD camera and super-slo-mo camera that can work side-by-side with other Ikegami HD cameras on sports trucks to deliver the visuals today’s HDTV that sports viewers demand.
