Bob Keyser Named Vice President of University Relations for Pac-12 Enterprises

Bob Keyser, a business and digital media executive with more than 20 years of experience, has been named Vice President of University Relations for Pac-12 Enterprises.

Keyser will serve as the primary liaison from Pac-12 Enterprises to all 12 of the conference’s athletic departments, ensuring that key relationships are developed and enhanced, necessary campus infrastructure is put in place, and proper coordination happens for all events covered by the Pac-12 Networks.

“Bob has a unique understanding of both digital and linear media, and coupled with his deep understanding and relationships at the Pac-12 conference headquarters and at all 12 of our member institutions, he was an ideal choice to lead us in this area,” President of Pac-12 Enterprises Gary Stevenson said. “Since the majority of our content will emanate from our campuses, this role is critical to our success and we are delighted to have Bob join our team.”

Keyser spent the last two years as a consultant to the Pac-12 on its digital strategy and innovation agenda.  During that time, he led efforts to overhaul the conference’s Pac-12.org website, enhance the Pac-12’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, and develop relationships with Silicon Valley innovators like Apple, Cisco, and Google.

Prior to coming to the Pac-12, Keyser spent four yearsleading business development, digital strategy and client services in the southern U.S. for interactive design agency Schematic with a client roster that included Coca Cola, Bank of America, Turner Entertainment, the Home Shopping Network and Reliant Energy. From 2004-06, Keyser was Vice President of Marketing Strategy at Digitas/Modem Media, managing relationships with Delta Airlines, Royal Caribbean and Scana Energy.

“To successfully build the quality of programming and the networks that we envision at the Pac-12, it is imperative that we work together as a team across all of our many constituents, from the Conference Office, to Pac-12 Enterprises, to all 12 of our campuses,” Keyser said.  “We have an exciting challenge ahead of us, and to meet it head on, we need to focus on effective collaboration and communication, especially with our campus partners. I’m excited and anxious to get started.”
