Campus Clips: Louisville’s CardsTV, LSU’s Geaux Zone Blanket Baseball

The University of Louisville athletics department has announced web streaming and television details for the Cardinals’ baseball season and CardsTV is, again, a major piece of the puzzle. Subscribers can follow every game of the 2012 baseball season through CardsTV at UofLSports.com. Live streaming audio will be available for every regular-season and post-season game, while streaming video will be available for 32 of the 33 home games. CardsTV memberships are available for just $9.95 per month. In addition to the radio and web streaming schedules, the Cardinals will also have one nationally televised game in 2012 when ESPNU returns to Jim Patterson Stadium for the Louisville-St. John’s matchup on Saturday, May 12 at 11:30 a.m., ET. It will mark the second straight season Louisville has hosted at least one nationally televised game and it will be the sixth national TV game at home in the last six seasons for the Cardinals…

…Twenty-two of LSU’s regular-season baseball games will be televised in 2012 by national and regional networks, while 30 of LSU’s 38 home baseball games will be available via an HD online stream in the school’s video platform, Geaux Zone, at www.LSUsports.net/HDbaseball. Viewers can get all games that are not part of the SEC-TV package with their Geaux Zone membership. For the first time, members of the Geaux Zone can also watch live streaming video on iPads with the new LSUsports Mobile for iPad app. Live streaming audio will again be available to members with the LSUsports Mobile+ apps in the iTunes store (iPhone and iPod) and the Android Marketplace…

…The Southeastern Conference announced its 2012 SEC Softball television schedule and due to the agreement with the ESPN networks and regional partners FOX Sports South/SportSouth and CSS, 30 games will be televised. The national schedule includes four games on ESPN, two on ESPN2 and 13 on ESPNU. The regional schedule includes six games on FOX Sports South/SportSouth and six games on CSS. Some schools may have additional televised games, depending on their school packages with their rights holders. The first broadcast of the season will feature Ole Miss at Alabama on March 17 on ESPNU…

…Cleveland-based regional sports network SportsTime Ohio will carry a tape delay of the John Carroll men’s basketball team’s game versus Muskingum University on February 15. With tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m., air dates and times begin later that night at 11 p.m. The contest will than re-air the following day at 7:00 a.m. and 12 noon. The game, which will be produced by S&S Productions, is the last regular season home game for the Blue Streaks and will feature a senior recognition before the game, and a fall sports honors recognition at halftime.
