LiveClips Names Brian Kalinowski COO

LiveClips continues its rapid growth with the naming of Brian Kalinowski as chief operating officer.

Kalinowski, a 25-year technology and entertainment industry veteran, will report to CEO Lewis Bakes and be a key member of LiveClips’ senior management team, responsible for all day-to-day operations. He joined LiveClips after nearly five years as executive vice president with WWE Interactive. Previously, Kalinowski was COO for Lycos Inc., vice president of product development at Ziggs Inc., and director of multimedia service at Lycos Inc., in addition to serving in management roles with Stratus Computer, Target Systems, and Digital Equipment Corporation earlier in his career.

“As executive vice president at WWE Interactive, Brian had full P & L responsibility for global digital media initiatives including Web and mobile interactive technologies, content production, audience acquisition, business development, electronic commerce and integrated media sales and sponsorship,” said Bakes. “During his tenure, WWE grew to be a top 40 brand on Facebook and was honored with six Mashable awards, which reward the best of digital and social media — a record for a single company in one year. His background in technology and entertainment, coupled with his energy and passion for LiveClips’ technology offering, make him an extremely important addition to the LiveClips management team.”

Jack Loop, the acting COO, has transitioned to the role of vice president, sales and marketing. Loop is a partner with Bakes in Amazing Grace Media LLC, which invested in LiveClips and which helped shepherd a five-fold increase in LiveClips’ employees in less than one year.

LiveClips provides access to sports action on smart phones, tablets, and the Internet via a computer-aided system designed to personalize and deliver real-time video to fans. During the 2011 NCAA/BCS college football season, LiveClips created 83,000 discrete video clips, of which 6,887 were distributed to fans who viewed them over 65 million times.
