Campus Clips: NCAA Tournament Game Networks, Announcers Set; CBS/Turner, ESPN Both to Get President Obama’s Take on Tourney

CBS Sports and Turner Sports have set their broadcast teams for the first two rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. In First Four coverage, Jim Nantz, Clark Kellogg and Steve Kerr will call the action, with Tracy Wolfson courtside for the two games tonight on truTV from Dayton. Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel, and courtside reporter Lewis Johnson will handle microphone duties for Wednesday’s action.

Second-round coverage begins Thursday and Friday at 11 a.m. Here’s the broadcast lineup for the second round:

CBS Sports’ Clark Kellogg will conduct the interview in what will be the first, and possibly only, joint interview of the two Heads of State during this visit…

…ESPN will again make their annual visit to the White House to get the President’s Men’s and Women’s Tournament picks. The exclusive first interview with the Commander in Chief on this year’s tournament teams will again take place with ESPN.com senior writer Andy Katz and basketball analyst Doris Burke. President Obama’s National Semifinal predictions for both the men’s and women’s tournaments will be released Tuesday evening. …CBSSports.com and Lowe’s are teaming to present the NCAA March Madness Cube Mania contest for the tournament. Through March 25, fans are being encouraged to decorate their work space with team colors and logos and then post the pics to the CBS Sports page on Facebook to enter. The grand prize winning photo will be announced on CBS during The Final Four Show on March 31…

…The WAC announced on Friday that Jeff Hurd has been offered and accepted the position of interim commissioner of the conference. Hurd has worked with the WAC since 1985, serving as senior associate commissioner for external affairs…

…The Ivy League entered into a new partnership with sports and entertainment marketing firm, Leverage Agency to create sponsorship opportunities for the conference as well as provide other marketing functions, including social media, public relations and domestic licensing. This is the first time The Ivy League has hired an agency in this capacity…

…Sacramento State and Nelligan Sports Marketing agreed to a five-year contract granting NSM the rights to represent the university’s athletic department and marketing program on Feb. 20. Sac State joins a collective group of university’s who have partnered with NSM over the years such as University of Louisville, Long Beach State and Rutgers University.
