NAB 2012: Yamaha Commerical Audio Systems To Debut RND 5045

Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems’ new Rupert Neve Designs Portico 5045 Primary Source Enhancer will make its NAB debut. The RND 5045 has been developed for, and is distributed exclusively by, the company.

Primarily used in live sound applications, the RND 5045 is a 2-channel analog, 1RU device that not only enables up to 16dB of additional gain before feedback when conditions allow, but because it is a dynamics-only processor, the integrity of the original signal is preserved. The device reduces background sounds and enhances the main audio source, providing clarity and warmth to podium, lavaliere, and headset mics, as well as in extreme situations, such as referee mics.

Notable sports facilities where the unit has been used or are installed include the Alamo Dome, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Green Bay Lambeau Field, Cowboy Stadium, Reliant Field, University of Phoenix Stadium, the Rose Bowl, and the Super Bowl in Indianapolis.
