NAB 2012: Clark Wire & Cable Intros HD Coaxial Cable

Clark Wire & Cable is introducing its new ultra-flexible CD7559F high definition coaxial cable for digital and HD/SDI video.  Built to the same standards as Clark’s installation grade CD Series coax, the CD7559F features a high flex-life stranded center conductor and flexible Mink PVC outer jacket for easy handling and durability in remote broadcast, portable staging and patching applications.

Designed for precision electrical performance and high-bandwidth, the CD7559F has the critical electrical characteristics required for 1.5 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s uncompressed video transmission, meeting or exceeding SMPTE 292M and 424M standards. Featuring a gas-injected, precision 75 Ohm dielectric and a 4.5 GHz bandwidth, the CD7559F is sweep-tested and 100% verified to guarantee consistent performance.

To deliver both ease of handling and high flex-life reliability, the CD7559F has a finely stranded, video-grade center conductor.  This conductor has the tight tolerance, precision diameter specifications required for digital video applications, yet can withstand prolonged flexing and coiling.  For flexibility and abrasion resistance, the outer jacket is extruded from Clark’s proprietary Mink PVC jacket that is ideal for both remote broadcast and studio applications.

“The CD7559F brings the performance of our CD Series HD/SDI coax into an ultra-flexible and field ready design for remote broadcast, staging and studio environments,” stated Scott Fehl, product manager for Clark Wire & Cable.  “Built to the same standards as our CD Series, the CD7559F delivers the critical performance required for 1.5G and 3G SMPTE HD/SDI transmission formats in a design that is easy to handle and can withstand repeated flexing applications.”
