RIVA Technologies Names Yohay Hahamy President and CEO

RIVA Technologies, parent company of Joseph Electronics and Joseph Fiber Solutions (JFS), has named Yohay Hahamy president/CEO, effective today. Hahamy will take over day-to-day operations of the company from Chuck Annella, who has decided to retire. Annella will assume the role of honorary chairman of the board and advise on future growth strategies and long-term planning.

“We’re going to concentrate on growth in the fiber domain. We are increasing our technical and engineering capabilities,” says Hahamy, discussing his vision for the company. “Personally, I believe we have the best crew in the business. I also would like to strengthen our relationship with our vendors as well as strengthen our commitment to our customers.”

A 30-year veteran of the broadcast-electronics industry, Hahamy co-founded RIVA Technologies and purchased Joseph Electronics with Annella 11 years ago. Together, the two shared ownership of RIVA Technologies and expanded its holdings to include four separate business units: Joseph Electronics, Joseph Electronics West, JFS, and JIBS. Each is focused primarily on servicing broadcasters worldwide by distributing more than 100 premier product lines, custom fiber-optic systems and solutions, and wide array of value-added services. The business groups collectively service more than 2,500 clients across the globe, operating out of Niles, IL, and San Leandro, CA.

“I want to increase our ability to customize fiber solutions for the broadcast market,” says Hahamy, “increase our technical capabilities, take care of our 33 employees in the family, and hopefully grow [the company].”
