Game Creek Video Adds 36 Sony HD Cameras to Its Fleet

Game Creek Video is outfitting three of its newest trucks with a total of 36 Sony HDC-2500 high-definition cameras. The new trucks are planned to hit the road this summer covering a range of live production events.

“We have such a diverse set of production requirements, moving from sports one night to live concerts or presidential debates the next day, at venues that vary from brand new buildings to older infrastructures,” said Pat Sullivan, president of Game Creek Video. “Our production technology needs to be as flexible as possible, and these new cameras take that capability to a whole new level. The three production units being built this summer will give us seven 3G/1080P capable trucks. The purchase of the HDC-2500 was a natural progression in our continuing effort to deliver our customers the latest technology we possibly can. ”

Using 3Gbps fiber transmission, the HDC-2500 cameras can deliver smooth and high-quality 2x slow-motion footage – ideal for applications such as sports. They also feature a triax cable interface, which enables simple integration with existing studio or outside broadcast infrastructuresSony is pleased to introduce the HDC-2500L HD portable and studio configurable camera system. The HDC-2500L is a successor model of the current HDC camera system including HDC-1500RLD (3G model). Incredible picture performance and features are realized by incorporating newly developed 16-bit Digital-Signal-Processing (LSI) and new image-sensors. A remarkable signal-to-noise ratio of 64 dB can be achieved when Noise Suppression (NS) is applied. The HDC-2500L integrates many unique features, modern design of carbon-graphite side panel, 3G signal transmissions and all available signal formats includes 1080,720 plus 2x slow-motion. In addition, all of accessories currently available for HDC series camera
will be used for this camera system. In addition, the camera has a changeable transmission side cover, which allows the user to easily switch between fiber and triax environments.

“These cameras were designed to allow our customers to operate freely and easily in any format or production environment,” said Mark Bonifacio, senior marketing manager for Sony Electronics’ Professional Solutions of America group. “This represents a significant technological enhancement as our next generation of live production cameras.”

Game Creek Video operates thirteen high-definition units and twelve “B” units that provide tape, graphics, and remote office capabilities. The 2012 projects will add three production units and one B unit.
Seven of Game Creek’s production units have been built, from the ground up, using all new components since 2010.   The company has provided services for organizations including ABC, ESPN, FOX Sports,
The NFL Network, HBO, NBA Entertainment, YES Network, MASN, and Comcast encompassing a wide range of sporting and live entertainment events.
