Australia’s AVE Adds Ross Video Carbonite Switchers to OB Vans

AVE Pty Ltd has added Ross Video Carbonite production switchers in its Outside Broadcast vans.

An independent television production house based in Artamon, Australia, AVE Pty Ltd produces over 250 hours of television content annually in Australia and internationally. The addition of Ross’ Carbonite 2M-24 Multi-Definition production switcher provides AVE the necessary tool to meet the growing production needs on their sports productions – which include ‘Speedweek’ and ‘Inside Speed’.

“The Carbonite’s 24 input channels and eight configurable outputs allow us to meet the changing needs of our production locations”, says Peter Bell, AVE Owner. “The built-in MultiViewers have cleaned up a lot of cable mess and Carbonite’s internal media stores make adding billboards a breeze. Our clients are very impressed by the additional production power that we can now provide them.

AVE has also added Ross’ XPression Real-Time Motion Graphics System to it workflow.

“We knew Ross Switchers were good,” continues Peter Bell. “We previously owned a Ross Synergy 1 and it never let us down in our 10 years of use. We still have the redundant power supply in its original box, as we never needed it. We are happy with our experience with Ross and we are happy to recommend Ross Carbonite Switcher to anyone.

Nigel Spratling, Business Development Manager for Production Switchers at Ross Video adds: “Carbonite is an incredibly powerful switcher, particularly at its price point. Now that AVE are adding XPression Graphics, they have all of the production capabilities normally found in much larger and expensive systems. I am confident that AVE’s clients will be very happy with the results.”
