Longhorn Network Adds Third Football Telecast

Longhorn Network will air Texas’s Nov. 10 Big 12 matchup with Iowa State.
The 24/7 University of Texas network will televise the game in HD from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, with live Texas GameDay analysis and coverage two hours prior to kickoff.  After the game, LHN will air a 60 minute post-game show. Game start time will be announced six or 12 days prior to the game.
The Iowa State game will be the third University of Texas football game aired live on Longhorn Network this season. Two games, Wyoming and New Mexico, were aired by LHN in Sept. The network had two football games — Rice and Kansas — in 2011.
Longhorn Network will be the exclusive national distributor for the game, except within the state of Iowa and surrounding areas, where the matchup will be televised on six ABC affiliate stations: WOI in Des Moines, KCAU in Sioux City, KETV in Omaha, KCRG in Cedar Rapids, KAAL in Mason City-Austin-Rochester, and WQAD in Quad Cities.
Longhorn Network’s mobile app will also launch in November in advance of the Iowa State vs. Texas game. Fans can download the free app in the Apple App Store to get 24/7 access to the network, streaming live to mobile devices. Access to the Longhorn Network video stream is determined by the TV service provider and is currently available to Grande Communications and Verizon FiOS customers. The Longhorn Network App version 1.0 will include a live stream of LHN, GameCast (where available) and event alerts. Future releases of the Longhorn Network App will include more in-depth content for UT fans.
