Pro Audio Honors One of Its Own

The DTV Audio Group meeting on the first day of the SVG League Technology Summit this week took a moment in the middle of its event to honor Bob Dixon, director of sound design and communications, Olympics, at NBC. Key members of the group presented Dixon with a plaque commemorating his years at the helm of NBC’s audio coverage of the Olympics and decades in the broadcast-audio industry. The inscription read:

IN RECOGNITION OF OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO TELEVISION AUDIO
presented to Bob Dixon by the members of the DTV Audio Group and Sports Video Group
in appreciation of his inspiring leadership, thoughtful advocacy, and generous
encouragement of others in the pursuit of excellence in live television sound.

A visibly touched Dixon thanked them right back.
