WSMI Annual Meeting Focuses on Improving Relationships Between Creative and Tech
On Monday, Dec. 10, in conjunction with SVG’s League Technology Summit, more than 50 members of the Women’s Sports Media Initiative gathered for the group’s annual meeting. The agenda featured a panel discussion titled Human Dynamics in the Digital Workplace: How To Get Creative and Technology Personnel Working Together.
Though on the same team, creative and technology personnel have a history of not playing well together. Often, this division is rooted in company culture.
During the discussion, moderated by Mixon Digital founder Christina Mixon, panelists explored the underlying issues that stand in the way of effective communication and strategies. The panel featured Andrea Berry, SVP, broadcast media services, Fox; Bobby Bitton, director, technology delivery, NASCAR; Janine Dugre, senior creative director, NBA Entertainment; and Christy King, VP, digital, technology research and development, UFC.
