Aspera All About the Cloud at CES 2012

Aspera will be sharing its vision for the cloud at a series of events taking place as part of the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

On Monday January 7, Aspera’s president, CEO and co-founder Michelle Munson will be speaking at Storage Visions. As part of a session titled ‘My life in the clouds: opportunities and challenges for consumer and enterprise storage’ taking place at 1.15-2.45pm, Michelle will speak about infrastructure requirements and best practices for online content delivery, and cloud-based and network-attached storage. The session will also feature speakers from Google, Amplidata, Quantum and CloudSigma.

Aspera will be showcasing its latest product innovations for enabling universal access, sharing, and distribution of large volumes of digital content at booth #12 throughout the event, which is organized by the Entertainment Storage Alliance and takes place on January 6-7 at the Riviera Conference Center.

In addition, Aspera will showcase mobile and cloud-based applications for global sharing of digital content at the Cloudbase3 Apps TechZone, a new area at CES dedicated to the explosive transition to cloud computing. Hands-on demonstrations of Aspera solutions will take place on January 8-11 in the North hall lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

On Wednesday January 9, Kip Schauer, vice president at Aspera, will join a panel session at Content in the Cloud, a conference within CES organized by the Distributed Computing Industry Association (DCIA). Kip will join speakers from organizations such as KPMG and Citrix to discuss the impact of cloud computing on telecommunications industries, examining the effect of cloud computing on how broadband network operators manage their intellectual property, allocate network resources, and develop and provision new services. The session will take place at 3pm in room N262 in the North hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
