Minor League Baseball Club Charlotte Knights Tap TSE as Technology Consultant on New Stadium

The Charlotte Knights – the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox – have hired TSE Services to consult new technologies being incorporated into BB&T Ballpark, scheduled to open Spring 2014 in uptown Charlotte, NC.

TSE will be responsible for the oversight and purchasing of nine state-of-the-art LED displays, along with three scoreboards set to be installed before opening day 2014.

“From my experiences working with consultants in the past, TSE clearly stood out as the firm to take BB&T Ballpark to the next level,” said Scott Brown, General Manager of Baseball Operations for the Knights, “We are confident that we will get the best product within our budget.”

The new stadium will house multiple video board displays throughout the facility including a giant state-of-the-art LED board projected to be 33 ft. by 80.4 ft. Along with the signature video board, a total of 8 LED displays and 3 scoreboards will create a new-age feel. Five of the LED’s will create an entry LED display.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to provide Knights fans with the ultimate fan experience,” Bob Masewicz, owner and chief consultant of TSE said, “The design and integration of the state-of-the-art LED displays are going to add an outstanding visual experience to further enhance the entertainment aspect of the brand new ballpark.”

The $54 million multi-purpose facility will seat 10,000 fans and is expected to draw at least 600,000 fans just for baseball the first year.
