XOS Digital, a leading provider of content management solutions and digital coaching technology for collegiate and professional sports organizations, announced the promotion of Ben Godwin to Vice President of Licensing. In addition to his position on XOS Digital’s leadership team, Godwin will continue to fulfill his current responsibilities as general manager of the SEC Digital Network. The announcement was made today by Matt Bairos, CEO, XOS Digital.

“Ben has a very successful track record, and he has both the industry experience and the necessary skill set to truly thrive in his new position,” Bairos said. “We are pleased to recognize him with this promotion, and we are confident that his leadership and knowledge make him a tremendous asset for all licensing initiatives and for our partners.”

Godwin joined XOS Digital in 2009 and has served as General Manager of the SEC Digital Network for the majority of his tenure. In his new role as Vice President of Licensing, Godwin will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of XOS Digital’s licensing business groups. He will relocate from his current residence in Birmingham, AL. to Orlando, FL, this summer.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join XOS Digital’s seasoned leadership team during such an exciting time for the company,” Godwin said. “I’m confident in XOS Digital’s game plan for long-term success, and I look forward to working with all of our rights holders to monetize their digital media assets.”

Godwin holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama. Before joining XOS Digital, he held positions with the MLB Network’s affiliate sales and marketing department and the Southeastern Conference’s external affairs and marketing department.

XOS Digital serves as a centralized licensing and rights clearance agency that manages the distribution of proprietary collegiate sports content including photographs, video and live data from games and events. Athletic programs and collegiate conferences partner with XOS to define, claim, protect and manage their intellectual property for commercial purposes.
