Miranda To Showcase Latest Offerings at Belden Brazil’s SET 2013 Stand

Miranda Technologies (a Belden Brand) will feature a variety of its broadcast solutions on the Belden Brazil stand at SET 2013, including a selection of Belden cables and connectors, as well as a selection of Miranda multiviewer cards, converters, and more.

The stand will feature a selection of Kaleido-Modular multiviewer cards, which enable monitoring systems to be created with a combination of input/output cards that use a CPU to drive advanced features within Miranda’s air-cooled Densité 3 frame. Miranda’s NVISION 8144 router will also be on hand and is part of Miranda’s NVISION 8500 enterprise-class router series, which offer advanced features such as redundant power supplies, control cards, and crosspoints in a space-saving 8RU.

Because fiber has become the cable of choice for many due to its cost, efficiency, and signal integrity benefits, Miranda is showing LUMO, the high-density electrical-to-optical and optical-to-electrical converter with the ability to convert 36 signals in a 1RU frame. Miranda’s line of fiber products meets all broadcast installation requirements and fiber SFPs are directly available on Miranda routers, modular processors, and Kaleido-Solo converter.

Kaleido-Solo rounds out Miranda’s SET display. Kaleido-Solo is a compact, standalone 3Gbps/HD/SD SDI video to HDMI converter that enables low-cost LCD displays to be used for accurate video and loudness/dialnorm monitoring

David Duarte, Miranda’s new broadcast sales director, Brazil, has recently joined the company and leads the effort at SET. Duarte, a trained electrical engineer, comes to Miranda with more than 15 years of broadcast industry experience.

“Our cabling and connectivity solutions define the highest levels of interoperability, convenience and efficiency that are the hallmarks of Belden and Miranda products and services,” Duarte says. “The need for our solutions in this market is vast and growing, which is precisely why we place so much importance on our presence at SET 2013.”
