‘Gravity’ Director Alfonso Cuaron On 3D Films: They’re Crap

Ask for Alfonso Cuaron’s opinion and you’ll get it. The director of the film Gravity, which stars Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, had a few choice words for 3D films.

With the advancements in technology 3D films seem to be all the rage, but for the Gravity director, certain 3D films don’t seem to tickle his fancy. Cuaron elaborated on why he thinks 3D films are crap. In an interview with Screen Daily. Cuaron said:

“The problem now is that they make all these films that are not designed for 3D and then convert them as a commercially afterthought – and they are crap. They don’t follow the rules of 3D of what does and doesn’t work.”
