FOR-A Receives Technology & Engineering Emmy

The FOR-A Group was honored as a recipient of the 2013 Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Art & Sciences (NATAS).

ForAThe prestigious award recognizes excellence and innovation in technology and engineering, and was given to FOR-A YEM Eletex Co., Ltd., a FOR-A group company, for the development, standardization and productization of the HD serial digital interface. The NATAS 65th annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards were presented at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on January 9.

The high definition serial digital interface technology recognized by NATAS has become the backbone of modern production, post-production and broadcast facilities. It is the universal interface for professional video equipment because it can carry HD data at the lengthy cable lengths needed in broadcast facilities, and supports multiple formats using just one signal interface.

NATAS is a professional service organization dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. FOR-A YEM Eletex (formerly called Yamashita Engineering Manufacture) also received the NATAS Emmy in 2000 for development of the Digital upconverter.
