Top Sports Teams Count on Integrated Microwave Technologies’ Wireless Systems

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Integrated Microwave Technologies as a corporate sponsor. A business unit of the Vitec Group, IMT is widely known in the sports-broadcast and video-production world for its wireless camera systems under Nucomm and RF Central brands.

Nucomm CamPac2 wireless camera systems are used extensively by the top MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL teams and stadiums around the country. They also have been capturing action at FIFA World Cups, Olympics, and other high-profile televised sports events for more than two decades. RF Central microLite is the system of choice for minor-league–baseball and collegiate sports teams. Highly reliable, easy-to-use compact wireless systems from IMT handle a wide range of applications, including ENG, portable camera mounting for sports production, helicopter and UAV links, as well as portable, mobile-video, and data links.

“Our goal is to help sports teams and stadiums to create the ultimate fan experience for the guests of the sports venues and the viewers at home,” says Sports Business Development Manager Alvin Taveras. “For over two decades, Integrated Microwave Technologies has been creating innovations that allow sports fans to see and enjoy sports in new and exciting ways. Sports Video Group creates and distributes the industry knowledge about these innovations and shares the best practices among sports-video professionals.”

After the busy London Olympics season, IMT began focusing on the Sochi Olympic and Paralympic Games. More than 30 of the company’s systems were fielded by Russian broadcasters covering the events and provided on-location around-the-clock service support to ensure that its equipment captured seamless video of the action during this most important sports event of the year.

At home, IMT has been busy deploying its Nucomm CamPac2 camera-mounted transmitters and Newscaster DR2 receivers in Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center in partnership with Comcast Spectacor. Nearly 20,000 faithful Flyers fans are now enjoying an incredible game-day experience with fan cams. Additionally, Nucomm CamPac2 systems are deployed by the Carolina Panthers, Detroit Tigers, and Denver Broncos, to name a few.

Based in Mt. Olive, NJ, IMT has approximately 140 employees and plans to grow its workforce in the coming years to meet the growing global demand for its products and technologies.
