ABI Research Report: Elemental Tops Multiscreen Encoder Market

Elemental Technologies, a supplier of software-defined video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, led the scoring in a recent multiscreen encoding competitive assessment by ABI Research. Elemental and 18 other vendors were evaluated based on their overall innovation and implementation in the market.

The ABI Research report, “Video Delivery Hardware and Platforms”, provides a global competitive assessment and market share analysis that spans traditional encoding vendors, newer companies that have arisen around multiscreen challenges, as well as cloud-based encoding solutions.

Elemental recently received the TV Technology Best of Show Award at NAB for its real-time HEVC implementation, the Video Edge Best of Show Award at NAB for Elemental Cloud, and the Digital Studio Technology Implementation of the Year Award for its 4K HEVC solution. The company is the first to integrate with the Ericsson Virtualized Encoding platform, and has achieved multiple milestones related to real-time 4Kp60/HEVC and cloud video processing.
