RTS Intercom Systems Supports Comms Ranging From Network Broadcasts to In-House Productions

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome RTS Intercom Systems as a premier sponsor. Headquartered in Burnsville, MN, RTS designs and manufactures intercom solutions. From the Advanced Digital Audio Matrix (ADAM) systems used to coordinate major network broadcasts of the world’s largest events to smaller systems for in-house productions, RTS matrices deliver reliable, mission-critical communications in broadcast, sports, entertainment, and industrial applications.

“As a dedicated provider of intercom equipment for sports communications and the broadcasting industry, RTS is pleased to partner with the Sports Video Group, reinforcing its status as a leading information and technology resource for our customers and industry peers,” says Thomas Hansen, VP, key accounts, Bosch Security Systems, parent company to RTS.

AT NAB 2014, RTS introduced the RP-1000 series to the Americas market, the newest member of its color-display keypanel family and the successor to the flagship KP 32 CLD. The 32-position RP-1032 offers an advanced display, state-of-the-art functionality, and a modern, modular design that fits into any broadcast control-room or truck application.

Booth visitors were also able to experience RTS+OMNEO matrix intercom products, which are based on the OMNEO IP media-networking architecture. OMNEO is a family of technologies that combine to offer low-latency, high-quality audio transmission and full system control on standard IP networks of all sizes.

With OMNEO, RTS ADAM professional intercom products can now be deployed over new or existing networks based on standard IP hardware connecting from two to 10,000 devices, with physical sizes ranging from tabletop to transcontinental.

OMNEO can exchange audio with AVB and Dante devices, providing access to a growing number of compatible products that may be integrated with RTS ADAM systems.

For Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium, Game Creek Video, the primary provider of mobile production facilities, deployed RTS matrix intercom products using the OMNEO IP media-networking architecture to provide the key cross-river link in a vast multi-venue comms system. It was the first large-scale remote-broadcast event to use an RTS matrix intercom system incorporating OMNEO.
