At both upcoming August trade shows, the company will demonstrate the highly versatile V__pro8, eight-channel video processor that has found rapid acceptance among broadcasters as standard piece of kit for de-embedding, managing and re-embedding audio signals for SDI and MADI streams.  The product offers routing of 8 x 8 3G/HD/SD-SDI signals and 324 x 324 audio channels and features frame syncs, video and audio delays, channel mapping and downmixing all in one compact, cost-effective 1RU frame. Available options include format conversion, color correction, a quad split multi-viewer with waveform and vectorscope, and an AV sync measurement feature. The compact design and broad feature set make the V_pro8 ideally suited for both studio as well as fly pack applications.

Visitors are also invited to witness demos of Lawo’s brand new V__link4 video stagebox and remote production toolkit for broadcast-quality Video-over-IP signal contribution and distribution. V__link4 provides video-over-IP coding, signal processing and a video/audio delay measuring system – all in a 1RU chassis. This gives more space in the rack, increases flexibility and saves setup-time and production costs.  The product supports raw compressed, DiracPro, J2K, Motion JPEG and H.264 codecs which can be utilized in various combinations and supports interconnection of multiple units with a virtual cabling system that offers MADI, RAVENNA, SDI, 1gigE and 10gigE connections.  In addition to managing contribution and distribution of audio and video signals over IP-based networks, the V_link4 also manages transmission of associated metadata and control information – so that on-site cameras in a venue can be addressed and controlled from CCUs mounted in remote studios hundreds of miles away.

Both units can be addressed and controlled via an intuitive HTML-5 based GUI that runs on most standard web browsers.

For the first time at both the Alliance and TAB shows, Lawo will also be exhibiting the powerful mc² 56 broadcast production console – with integrated Audio-follow-Video, loudness & stereo- and surround-capable AutoMix functionality. AutoMix automatically adjusts the levels of active and inactive microphones, while keeping a constant ambient level – a unique functionality for talk shows, pre-game and panel discussions. AutoMix minimizes background noise and crosstalk and thus provides for a reduced coloration. Truncated sentences and late fade-ins are now things of the past.

Join Lawo and focus on big issues of the future in broadcast: solutions for audio, video, software and networking. Products, solutions and demos can be experienced at the Alliance Annual meeting and Tech Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 5-6 and at the Texas Association of Broadcasters Convention and Trade Show in Austin, Texas, August 6-7.
