NBA TV To Televise Up to Nine Originally Produced First Round Playoff Games

NBA TV will televise up to nine originally produced first round NBA playoff games beginning Tuesday, April 21, with the Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors at 8 p.m. ET.  The network’s live game telecasts are part of NBA TV’s more than 1,500 hours of programming throughout the playoffs. NBA TV’s coverage will include interviews with coaches, who will also wear microphones during the games. Each game night will include the Autotrader Pre-game ShowSprint Halftime Report, and NBA GameTime Presented by Kia post-game show.

The network’s signature studio show, NBA GameTime, will provide comprehensive nightly coverage, including pre- and post-game studio programming and live press conference coverage. Additionally, NBA TV will televise Playoff Playback presented by Kumho Tire, 60-minute versions of each playoff game.

NBA TV will highlight all 16 playoff teams with its Eastern and Western Conference preview shows airing Thursday, April 16, starting at 7 p.m.  The Starters — NBA Digital’s fan-focused voices with a unique and unconventional take on the game – will start off the evening on NBA TV with a special playoff preview episode, co-hosted by J.E. Skeets and Tas Melas, at 6 p.m.

In addition to NBA TV, NBA Digital’s extensive coverage of the playoffs will include NBA.com providing comprehensive content offerings including playoff series hub pages and expansive social integration, along with NBA Mobile featuring all of the latest news and information via the league’s signature NBA Game Time app.
