Hollywood Riviera Studios adds 40-ft. HD Expando; Open House Set for May 27, 28

Hollywood Riviera Studios, based in Torrance, CA, has added a 40-ft. HD expando to its arsenal, part of a deal whereby the company acquired studio equipment and sets used for Jim Rome’s show on the CBS Sports Network.

“Providing state-of-the-art mobile-production services for our clients who produce live events is a natural extension of our production capabilities,” says Bonnie Valena, VP, business development. “Hollywood Riviera Studios already has a history of providing staff and equipment for field production for high-end clients, and the addition of our HD expando mobile unit will truly enhance our services to our clients. Plus, it gives us more to offer.”

Formerly known as CentroNet Productions, HRS Mobile TV handles productions for such clients as ESPN, Time Warner SportsNet, Univision, Televisa, and MundoFox. It partners with Univision to broadcast the Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA, and produced games for the MLS’s LA Galaxy and Chivas USA.

HRS Mobile TV1 has the capability of a larger, 53-ft. production truck in a more compact, 40-ft. footprint, making it easier and more accessible for a variety of productions in different venues. It comes equipped with eight Grass Valley LDK cameras and a Kalypso switcher, RTS communication system, ChyronHego graphics, Evertz router, and a six-channel EVS server. It also comes with two engineers with more than 27 years of experience.

The truck will be at the center of an open house to be held at 1630 Flower St. in Glendale, CA, on May 27 and 28 from noon to 6 p.m. TV Pro Gear is co-sponsoring the event. To attend, contact Hillary Swanson at [email protected].
