Globecast Australia Fibre Expands Into Asia

Globecast Australia has announced the expansion of their international fibre network, with connectivity into Asia.

With an existing fibre network connecting Globecast Australia to the world, this direct path into Asia presents exciting new possibilities for bi-directional content contribution and distribution.  The path will carry premium content for customers, including Disney Channels and others who desire a managed service solution media partner.  Disney joins leading broadcasters such as Sky TV (BskyB), Sky TV NZ, TV3, TVSN, NBC, Eurosports, Sky News Australia and Foxtel for a fully managed solution on Globecast Australia’s international fibre network.

This expansion sees a bi-directional, geographically diverse and redundant fibre circuit, connecting Globecast Australia’s Sydney Broadcast Centre with two independently located POP’s in Singapore.
