Pac-12 Networks Elevates Jonathan Leess to EVP of Operations

With more than 20 years of experience in the broadcast industry, Jonathan Leess has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President of Operations for the Pac-12 Networks.

Screen Shot 2013-08-22 at 4.30.53 PMThe expanded role means Leess will now oversee all Pac-12 Networks operations, including remote and studio production operations, travel, engineering, facilities and broadcast ingest transmission systems (BITS). Leess will continue to report to Pac-12 Networks President Lydia Murphy-Stephans.

“Jonathan came on board shortly after our launch in 2012 and has played a vital role in helping us establish best in practice operations across all departments,” said Murphy-Stephans. “We are extremely proud of the innovative live sports production model we have created and expect Jonathan’s leadership will continue to enhance those efforts in the future.”

Prior to the new role, Leess was the Senior Vice President of Production Planning and Operations for Pac-12 Networks. He is an Emmy Award winning television and digital media executive known for his creative vision, strategic and operational expertise across the many facets of the digital, mobile, streaming video, OTT, social and television broadcast mediums. Prior to the Networks, Leess spent time with many notable organizations including DoubleVision Media, CBS Corporation, Disney and the ABC Television Network.
