Filmwerks Expands Out West With Permanent Redundant Generator Systems in San Francisco, Las Vegas
Filmwerks continues to expand their operations out West, recently placing a permanent redundant generator system based in both the San Francisco and Las Vegas area.
“Our customers are asking us how we can offer them savings, so growing our fleet and strategically expanding our presence across the states is one the simplest and quickest ways to pass along some savings,” says Chad Corbin, general manager at Filmerks. “This additionally provides some security and assurance to our customers that we can cover their needs wherever they are.
The unit in San Francisco is a 350kw twin with an overall 20ft footprint that can be used to save space in the crowded TV compounds or be able to park in the limited footprints that are available in the city.
Their Las Vegas unit is a 350kw twin as well, but this particular truck is carrying one of their UPS systems that is capable of doing many different events in and around Las Vegas area. Filmwerks is currently using this system on all of the UFC Pay-per-view events. This UPS system is modular and can be positioned right next to the house power connections to save on space in the TV compound and reduce the amount of cable needed.
Filmwerks is currently looking at several other locations in addition to these two cities to help expand their presence across the country and help reduce transportation cost. Filmwerks now has locations in LA, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Dallas, Nashville, Chicago, New York, North Carolina, and Florida.
