American Digital Network Announces Campus Connect Program
Story Highlights
Continuing its commitment to strong digital programming, the American Digital Network (ADN) announced its Campus Connect program for the 2016-17 year.
The initiative provides aspiring journalists the opportunity to gain professional experience telling the unique stories of the American Athletic Conference’s 12 member institutions. The journalists were chosen from a competitive field of applicants and will begin contributing stories across the ADN’s platforms this fall.
Based on each of The American’s 12 member institution campuses, the Campus Connect correspondents were provided equipment from the conference and will receive mentoring and feedback throughout the year. Eight of the correspondents are also current undergraduate or graduate students at their respective universities, while a ninth graduated in May, enabling them to provide unique perspectives on the traditions and experiences throughout The American.
Additionally, the previous experiences of the correspondents include internships at ESPNU and NBC Sports, among other work with campus television stations and competing in intercollegiate athletics.
