Pac-12 Networks Selects IMS Productions For Mobile Production Services Support

Pac-12 Networks has selected IMS Productions to provide a customized mobile production unit to enhance multicam productions for nearly 100 Pac-12 live Olympic sport events. Dubbed Killer Frost, the unit hit the road in late August and offers a seamless and economical solution to elevate the broadcast-quality of its shows.

pac-12_networks_logo“We are very pleased to welcome IMS Productions to the Pac-12 Networks’ extraordinary family of high quality mobile facilities providers,” said Jonathan Leess, Executive Vice President of Operations for Pac-12 Networks. “With IMS Productions’ remote broadcast expertise and their commitment to building a unique, west coast based IP-transmission mobile unit for our Network, we are well positioned to continue our innovative, efficient broadcast methods for years to come.”

“IMS Productions is proud to partner with Pac-12 Networks to provide an efficient solution to deliver the technological tools necessary to connect Pac-12 fans with their favorite athletic events,” said Robby Greene, president of IMS Productions. “Our teams’ years of experience and hands-on approach have allowed us to create a purpose-built unit which will seamlessly transition from one event to the next.”

IMS Productions, long-established as a leader in broadcasting sporting events such as the Verizon IndyCar Series and PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Built Ford Tough Series, used its existing assets to custom build Killer Frost to meet the IP production model specifications and broadcast needs for Pac-12 Networks. IMS Productions provides state-of-the-art, broadcast-quality cameras and other cost-effective equipment that allows the conference to televise baseball, softball, lacrosse, water polo, track & field and several other ancillary sports. Production crews and talent have access to the amenities and feel of a large production truck, but in a smaller, more efficient package.
