Attendees included representatives from the Denver Broncos, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (owner of the Altitude, Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids, Pepsi Center, and other Denver-based sports properties), ROOT Sports/AT&T Sports Networks, University of Colorado, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Northern Colorado, Canon, Diversified, Level 3 Communications, Mobile TV Group, Riedel, SAM, and Vizrt.

KSE VP of Broadcast Services Billi Capra and her Pepsi Center staff led a tour of the entire facility, along with a full demonstration of the center-hung videoboard (with more than 8.5 million pixels across two 1080p 27-ft.-high x 48-ft.-long center displays and two 21-ft.-high x 25-ft.-wide end-facing displays) and the Christie Digital on-ice/on-court video-projection system, which was installed prior to the last NHL and NBA seasons.

In addition, Dave Zur, GM, KNOC/SVP, operations and engineering, KSE Media Ventures, led a live-streamed tour of the KNOC, which is located 15 miles away in Centennial, CO, via a LiveU IP transmission system. Presented on the Pepsi Center videoboard and narrated by Zur, the tour provided attendees an inside look at the facility that is home to Altitude Sports & Entertainment, Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, and World Fishing Network.

The Pepsi Center and KNOC tours were followed by a networking reception at Brooklyn’s sports bar, adjacent to Pepsi Center.

Chaired by Zur, the SVG Rocky Mountain effort is aimed at bringing together one of the industry’s fastest-growing markets, the Denver/Boulder metro area, by fostering communication, education, and networking among the regions’ broadcasters, pro franchises, universities, and technology vendors. These events are open to all professionals from all pro teams, colleges, leagues, broadcasters, and other end users, as well as to SVG Platinum sponsors.
