NAB Show NY: Tightrope Media Systems To Display Digital Signage, Server Solutions

Tightrope Media Systems will show its complete range of digital signage and server solutions, including instant replay systems, at NAB Show New York, Booth 1418. Tightrope’s latest release of its ZEPLAY slo-mo instant replay server extends codec support, including ProRes (LT) and DVCProHD import and export.

tightropeIndividual plays or highlights can be immediately exported in any of these supported formats while the operator runs replays. ZEPLAY is built with the operator in mind, making everything accessible within one multiviewer display and delivering enough power for one person to manage twice the action. Synchronous 4×4 support empowers angles in a quarter of a second, no backside, and assembly of sequences right in multiviewer edit window.

For use within sports venues, Tightrope’s Carousel Digital Signage software can drive content across multiple displays in any networked location. The latest release, Carousel 6.6, incorporates a complete set of administrative tools for systems integrators that enable remote configuration, troubleshooting and systems management. Other new features deliver substantial improvements in system control and schedule-based events, including channel selection for each media player from the central Carousel server dashboard; and the ability to turn monitors on and off based on a pre-determined schedule.

On the playout server side, Tightrope’s Cablecast Flex range of multi-format video servers combine the reliability and rich feature set of Tightrope’s earlier Cablecast SX series with higher channel density, flexible configurability and increased performance. Available in Three models, the flagship Cablecast Flex 4 server features four channels that can be flexibly configured as either inputs or outputs, with increased channel density that reduces equipment requirements, as well as initial and operational costs.

Cablecast Flex servers are driven by Cablecast broadcast automation software, providing a simple graphical, web-based user interface for automated playout scheduling, bulletin board promotion, reporting and online publishing. Cablecast software can efficiently manage multiple Cablecast Flex (playout and recording), Cablecast Pro VOD (Video on Demand publishing) and Cablecast Live (live streaming) servers, or can be used standalone to control third-party video decks and routing switchers.
