Stevenson Athletics Launches Roku Channel
Story Highlights
The Stevenson University athletic department has launched a Roku channel, becoming the first NCAA Division III athletic program, and one of a handful of college athletic programs nationwide, to have its own channel on the streaming platform.
The channel is currently available for download via the Roku Channel Store and features live game broadcasts from the 16 sports currently produced by the Mustang Sports Network. In addition, the channel features game highlights, coaches shows, features, postgame interviews and more from all 27 of Stevenson’s intercollegiate varsity programs.
All programming, including live games, is available free of charge, and no subscription is necessary.
“Stevenson is proud to offer one of the top productions of live events in all of Division III, and we are constantly searching for new ways to showcase our events and our teams and student-athletes,” said Stevenson Director of Athletics Brett Adams. “The Stevenson Athletics Roku channel will allow us to reach not only a nationwide audience, but a worldwide audience as well, and we are excited to be the first in Division III to offer such a service to our fans, parents, alumni, current student-athletes and recruits.”
The Stevenson Athletics Roku channel is available in the Roku Channel Store in the sports category, alongside such popular channels as WatchESPN, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, MLB.tv, the NFL and the NHL. There are currently approximately 230 channels in the sports category on Roku.
