Comcast Inks Deal for Live In-Market Streaming of Fox RSNs

Comcast customers will now have ability to live-stream MLB, NBA, and NHL games on Fox RSNs in their home markets

Comcast has inked a deal with Fox Sports to live-stream in-market MLB, NBA, and NHL games carried by Fox Sports Regional Networks, according to TVPredictions.com. Comcast video customers will be able to live-stream games on the Fox Sports Go app and FoxSportsGo.com once the service is activated in mid February.

Comcast customers will soon be able to live-stream games carried by these Fox RSNs in their own market.

The deal comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that Comcast’s NBC Sports Regional Networks had come to terms with MLBAM to stream local-market MLB games, as well as pre/postgame shows, beginning with the 2017 regular season.

Subscribers will be able to watch only the regional professional games in-market, and Comcast subscribers will need to have their local Fox Sports RSN as part of their video package. Comcast customers can already stream the Fox national sports telecasts. DirecTV, Dish, and Charter offer in-market streaming of Fox regional sports channels to their customers.
