FloSports Launches FloBikes.com, Hires Cycling-Vet Ian Dille as Senior Editor

FloSports has launched FloBikes.com, a new site dedicated to live and on-demand coverage of competitive cycling. The site will offer fans access to domestic and international races, breaking news, highlights, original documentaries, and more. In tandem with the launch, FloSports announced the hiring of Ian Dille, former professional cyclist and national cycling journalist, as senior editor of FloBikes.com.

In his role, Dille will oversee day-to-day reporting and content strategy on the site. Dille brings a decade of experience writing some of cycling’s most compelling stories for national publications, including BicyclingOutsideMen’s Journal, and Texas Monthly. Supervising FloBikes’ editorial team, Dille’s broad background in cycling will bring an unprecedented breadth and depth of coverage to the site.

FloBikes’ live coverage begins with Clif Bar CrossVegas, one of America’s most exciting cyclocross races featuring many of the world’s top racers, on Sept. 20, 2017, in Las Vegas.

“Cycling has a huge international following and is among the most-watched sports in the world,” FloSports co-founder and CEO Martin Floreani said. “We aim to provide the deepest, most comprehensive coverage and analysis of some of the biggest cycling events around the world. Having one of cycling’s foremost experts in Ian Dille on board will position us as the go-to destination for cycling fans.”

“Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of chronicling some of cycling’s most compelling stories, from major news pieces to world-class events and athletes,” Dille said. “Working with FloSports offers a great opportunity to expand and improve upon cycling coverage, and connect with fans around the world. I’m excited to join the team and continue to follow my passion for cycling.”

FloBikes’ live coverage of cycling races will focus on men’s and women’s World Tour races, cyclocross, mountain biking, BMX, track, and American criterium racing.

“We worked with FloSports in the past to present CrossVegas to fans and the experience was really great,” Brook Watts, Race Director of Clif Bar CrossVegas, said. “The production value was high, and it turned out to be a webcast that received an incredible number of views.

“We’re looking forward to presenting CrossVegas to cyclocross fans across the globe on FloBikes.com. It really is the future of sports like cross, and permits fans to watch it live or archived at your own convenience.”

FloSports carries more than 20 sports in its network, including football, basketball, MMA, and track.
