Sixty Creates Interactive-TV Platform for Broadcasters To Reach Audiences

The Sports Video Group is pleased to welcome Sixty as a corporate sponsor. Headquartered in Bergen, Norway, Sixty creates products and services that enable media companies to enhance and innovate their TV solutions to meet the consumer’s need to explore, play, interact, and communicate.

For more than 15 years, Sixty has been helping broadcasters globally to make every click and pixel the best it can be. The company uses this experience to ensure that broadcast- and internet-TV services provide consumers with the freedom to choose how and when they view and interact, offering such products as its award-winning Ease Live technology, which enables on-screen graphics to be “viewer-clickable” on any device. TV providers can centralize their TV offering by personalizing, monetizing, and engaging audiences with Sixty’s extensive interactive-TV platform.

“We believe that SVG is one of the key arenas to meet partners and customers within the sports industry,” says Chief Commercial Officer Henriette Sæther. “Our game-changing interactive-TV platform enables broadcasters to utilize the growing amount of data, statistics, and highlights they have on file and create user experiences that their audiences will love. We also enable two-way communication, implementation of interactive advertisements and sponsorships that open up new revenue streams, and personalized viewer experiences. Although we started with sports due to the amount of rich data available, our long-term goal is to ensure that every broadcaster can realize the value of interactive content across all screens, regardless of its type.”

Earlier this year, Sixty and sport-graphics provider Alston Elliot combined their expertise to provide Sixty’s interactive, clickable on-air graphics solution Ease Live for cricket. The Ease Live cricket product provided fans with access to multiple layers of stats, replays, highlights, and more in multiple languages and made broadcast and OTT sports services even more engaging for the viewer at home.
