Including preseason, NBC Sports Regional Networks’ NBA streaming coverage has attracted more than 37 million live minutes and 343,000 unique devices, a 46% and 86% increase, respectively, compared to a year ago. NBC Sports Philadelphia’s streaming coverage of the 76ers has seen the most significant year-over-year growth on a per game average basis, with live minutes and unique devices up 368% and 401%, respectively.

Compared to last season, NBC Sports Boston’s streaming coverage of the Celtics is up 184% in live minutes and 234% in unique devices, while NBC Sports Washington’s Wizards streaming coverage is up 104% in live minutes and 131% in unique devices. NBC Sports Regional Networks and its NBA team partners allow authenticated viewers to stream live games in-market, powered by Playmaker Media, and include the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, Washington Wizards, Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia Sixers.

NBC Sports Regional Networks’ NHL Streaming Offering Delivers 1.7 Million Minutes In First Five Weeks Of Season
Through 69 games of the 2017-2018 NHL regular season, the NBC Sports Regional Networks’ NHL streaming coverage has seen significant digital growth, delivering more than 14 million live minutes across 139,000 unique devices. NBC Sports Philadelphia’s digital coverage of the Flyers has received the strongest growth on a per game average basis compared to the 2016-2017 season average, with live minutes and unique devices up 97% and 99%, respectively.

NBC Sports Chicago’s streaming coverage of the Blackhawks is up 21% in live minutes and 31% in unique devices, and NBC Sports Washington’s coverage of the Capitals are also up double digits in live minutes and unique devices, 37% and 28%, respectively. Powered by Playmaker Media, NBC Sports Regional Networks and its NHL team partners allow authenticated viewers to stream live games and related coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, Philadelphia Flyers, San Jose Sharks and Washington Capitals.

Overall, NBC Sports Regional Networks streaming of NHL and NBA games has generated more than 51 million minutes across 165 games thus far in the 2017 seasons on regional network websites, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

NBC Sports Digital was named Best Digital Television Group for its digital coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics at the fifth annual Cynopsis Digital Model D Awards Friday in Tribeca, New York.

With its presentation of the 2016 Rio Olympics, NBC Olympics delivered the biggest and most watched digital event in U.S. history with 3.5 billion total minutes streamed of its exclusive coverage of the Games.

Within the calendar year, the NBC Sports Digital team presented the 2016 Rio Olympics, which became the largest streamed event in history, re-branded the NBC Sports app (previously NBC Sports Live Extra), launched Playmaker Media, a specialty streaming service, launched NBC Sports Scores, a personalized scores app, launched NBC Sports Gold, a direct-to-consumer live streaming product, which streams, on average, more than 2,000 hours of content across seven different sports, and provided digitally-exclusive content and shows all while streaming more than 10,000 events.

NBC Sports Digital’s portfolio of sites delivered more than 5.5 billion page views, hitting more than 4 billion for the fourth consecutive year, and surpassing 5 billion for the second year in a row. The NBC Sports app surpassed 26 million app downloads, streamed more than 106 million hours, and registered 6.4 billion minutes, up 228% over 2015 (1.9 billion).

In addition, NBC Sports analysts and figure skating champions Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir were awarded Best Podcast/Audio Series by the Cynopsis Digital Model D Awards for their podcast Tara and Johnny, produced by NBC Sports.

NBC Olympics Continues Digital-Only Live Streaming Coverage of Round-Robin Curling Games Through Nov. 15 on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app
NBC Olympics begins its coverage of the 2018 U.S. Olympic Trials this Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. ET, on NBCSN. In all, NBC Olympics will provide more than 25 hours of Curling Trials coverage across NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

‘Thursday Night Football’ On NBC, NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video & Universo Averages 13.4 Million Viewers Across All Platforms
NBC Sports Group kicked off its Thursday Night Football coverage last week, with the Seattle Seahawks’ 22-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football averaging a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 13.4 million viewers across all platforms – NBC, NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video, NBC Sports Digital, NFL Digital, and Universo, according to National data released last Friday by The Nielsen Company, and digital data from Adobe Analytics and Amazon Prime.

Total Audience Delivery measures broader consumption by calculating average minute viewing across broadcast, cable, and digital.

The Average Minute Audience (AMA) for Thursday night’s live stream via Amazon Prime Video, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, NFL Mobile from Verizon, Watch NFL Network, the NFL app on Microsoft, and NFL Game Pass (International) was 381,000 viewers.
