NAB 2018: G&D To Show Expanded KVM Portfolio, More

Every year, US broadcast professionals meet at the NAB Show in Las Vegas to experience the industry’s latest trends and developments. German KVM manufacturers Guntermann & Drunck will present the broadest KVM portfolio for TV studios, post-production and OB vans at booth N3917 from April 9 – 12, in addition to other user-friendly features for best usability.

At the G&D booth, everything will revolve around pixel-perfect video quality and the switching of 4K resolutions using matrix systems. G&D will show how to implement large distributed IT installations as efficiently as possible to provide users with as much flexibility and comfort as possible. The KVM matrix switches ControlCenter-Digital and ControlCenter-Compact represent the backbone of the computer equipment in use and provide producers with flexible, distributed access to remote computers – pixel-perfect and without latency or delays.

The ControlCenter-Compact is available in six expansion levels providing between 8 and 112 ports and is compatible with the ControlCenter-Digital as well as all end devices, which makes it possible to add new systems to existing infrastructures. A wide range of easy-to-use functionalities also makes teamwork easier and provides a high level of usability for everyone working with the system. The user-friendly Cross Display-Switching, the push-get function, scenario switching and many other features make the operation of G&D systems comfortable and as efficient as possible.

G&D continues to live up to their reputation of offering the broadest compatible portfolio and have been relying on their mix and match concept for years. Following this principle, all products – even with different features – as well as their variants are compatible and can be combined with each other. The KVM extender DP1.2-Vision can be easily integrated into existing G&D matrix systems and thus allows the extension and switching of 4K at 60 Hz through the matrix. DP1.2-Vision provides pixel-perfect images and uses the in-house HDIP compression method in the latest development stage, level 3. This compression mode allows the loss-less transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz with optimal image quality and latency-free operation.

Visitors can look forward to an even more exciting experience as G&D expanded their KVM-over-IP™ portfolio and will present a brand-new KVM-over-IP device during NAB 2018.
