Wipster Flow, Pulse Enable Sports-Content Creators To Ramp Up Video Production Across All Platforms

The two products enhance management of videos and analysis of fan response

As sports fans consume video about their favorite teams and leagues on an ever increasing number of platforms, those teams and leagues are adopting video-first content strategies. The question becomes, with so many videos on streaming platforms like YouTube and Vimeo and social-media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, how can content creators track the video-production process, know where videos are published, and gauge how fans are responding on each platform? Wipster hopes to have an answer.

Wipster has launched two video-collaboration and -publishing tools intended to allow clients like Major League Baseball, NASCAR, and the Orlando Magic to ramp up video creation and improve engagement with video across all platforms.

Wipster combines media storage, project management, collaboration, publishing, and analytics in a single platform.

The first new tool, Flow, guides video teams — which are often working in different locations — through the video-review process. Once videos are loaded into Wipster Flow, collaborators can edit content, make comments, and approve video within the platform. Throughout the process, video “flows” seamlessly from one step of the review process to the next.

Brands and sports retailers such as Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) increasingly use video to engage, inspire, and educate customers. “We create hundreds of unique films a year, and being able to share them with our internal and external partners and clients quickly and efficiently is a game-changer,” says Alissa Hudson, media studio lead, REI. “We’re excited about Wipster Flow because it makes it so much easier to manage multiple projects at once, push revisions out faster, and quickly iterate.”

The second tool, Pulse, provides all the analytics that companies need to determine how a video is performing across every channel. Using Pulse, content creators can see how many people are watching a video on a specific platform, such as YouTube or Facebook; how long they are watching that video; and how engaged they are with the content. Pulse’s HealthScore interface visually shows the total audience impact of a video, eliminating the need to gather analytics from each individual platform and interpret the data after the fact.

Social-video–content agencies like COstar rely on Wipster to create large volumes of sports-celebrity video for fans. “Video is how we keep fans connected to their idols no matter where they are in the world,” says COstar CEO Trent Sidney. “Getting our unique video content out as quickly as possible is key to keeping our audience up-to-date and engaged. With Wipster’s Flow and Pulse products, we expect to deliver even more of the video content that our fans and sponsors love.”

With the addition of Flow and Pulse, Wipster combines media storage, project management, collaboration, publishing, and analytics in one platform, enabling companies of all sizes — from those just dipping a toe into video production to those looking to ramp up an existing video plan — to embrace video as the cornerstone of their content strategy.
