In order to deliver 320 hours of original content and 1,100 hours of captured video from over 6,000 miles away, Fox Sports is using IBM Aspera FASPStreamTM technology, integrated into Telestream’s Lightspeed Live and Vantage products.

Mike Flathers, Chief Technology Officer, IBM Aspera

• Flathers has more than 20 years of software development experience. Throughout his career, Flathers focused on enabling third-party technology integrations by creating innovative software solutions and APIs. Before joining Aspera, Flathers spent 10 years at Sorenson Media where he led the development of Sorenson VCast, one of the industry’s first online video delivery platforms and Sorenson VRS, a leading video relay service empowering communication for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. As CTO for Sorenson Media, he directed research and engineering efforts and managed technology decisions and architecture. Prior to that, he spent 14 years at Novell after the company acquired Excelan where he was a lead developer for the LANWorkplace product, the first suite of TCP/IP utilities for DOS and Windows.

Ken Haren, Marketing Director, Telestream

• Haren is responsible for keeping a hand on the pulse of the markets that Telestream serves and helping to craft product and brand strategy to ensure that Telestream remains well positioned. Before joining Telestream, Haren was with the Platform|Comcast Technology Services group as a solution architect and program manager, where he helped customers with designing & implementing the back-end infrastructure necessary to support their next generation TVE and Direct-to-Consumer live and on-demand video experiences. Ken Haren has been working in media & entertainment since starting with Anystream in 2001.
