Ncam Technologies To Debut at SET EXPO 2018

Ncam Technologies announced it will be exhibiting at SET EXPO 2018 for the first time.

Demonstrations on the Ncam booth 185 & 186 will center on Real Depth, Ncam’s solution that provides a ground-breaking new and unique automated technique for sensing depth. The Real Depth system, which is used with a green screen, extracts depth data in real-time to allow subjects to interact seamlessly with their virtual surroundings for immersive and synergetic visual engagement. Subjects can now walk in front of or behind virtual objects, which up until now has not been easily achievable.

Also on display will be Ncam’s second-generation camera tracking solution, offering unique markerless camera tracking capabilities that can operate in both studio and outdoor environments, and can be configured to any type of camera including handheld and Steadicam. The demonstration will showcase how Ncam’s creative tools can enhance live broadcasts by blending real world images with real-time virtual world content; as well as showing how production workflows on feature films and the region’s popular episodic content can be significantly streamlined to save post production time and costs.

During SET Congress, attendees have the opportunity to hear Sergio Bourguignon, Ncam’s Business Director, Latin America, and Kingsley Cook, Global Business Development, Ncam, discuss the topic, ‘What is Virtual Production?’. This session will explore how virtual production has become a growing and visual differential utilized across major films, episodic TV series, news, sports and live events globally, and will highlight the innovative and production efficient techniques used to seamlessly blend the two realms of real and virtual together to create immersive visuals. Ncam’s session takes place on 27 August at 9am in Room 13.

“SET EXPO is the perfect opportunity for Ncam to showcase how our innovative suite of solutions can enhance the region’s high-quality content, including episodic TV series, feature films, sports and live events,” says Bourguignon.
