G&D Brings KVM Over IP Products to Japan for Inter BEE 2018

Visitors of this year’s Inter BEE (November 14-16) will have the opportunity to discover numerous KVM superlatives. Guntermann & Drunck GmbH (G&D) will once again be travelling to Tokyo to exhibit many new products. Together with their partner DIGIcas, G&D will be presenting their latest product innovation for transmission over IP — a KVM matrix for KVM-over-IP — at booth 4206. The new ControlCenter-IP enables the extension and distributed switching of computer signals via IP networks. In combination with G&D’s IP extenders, the ControlCenter-IP forms a powerful matrix system. While the network infrastructure takes over the transport of KVM-over-IP by using network switches and routers, the ControlCenter-IP contributes the logic. Thanks to the network connection and the option of using standard network components, the application gains even more usability and flexibility. The system can also be scaled easily at all times. On top of this, the ControlCenter-IP removes the limits of dedicated transmission. The transmission length is almost unlimited since two active network components can be connected to each other over a length of up to 100 m via CAT or up to 10,000 m via optical fibers.

Versatile signals and real 4K over IP
The ControlCenter-IP supports numerous signals thus providing solutions for DVI single- and dual-link, DP1.1, and DP1.2, including real 4K@60 Hz over IP. The system does not only provide optimum, pixel-perfect, and latency-free image quality for the best possible hand-eye coordination, but also impresses with its wide range of functions. Functionalities such as monitoring and SNMP, the scripting function and scenario switching, the push-get function for optimal collaboration and the control of video walls, and CrossDisplay-Switching for intuitive operation at multi-monitor workstations have been integrated into the KVM-over-IP matrix.

Original or over IP — G&D brings the best of both worlds to Japan’s broadcast professionals
G&D’s presentation of their 8K extender system, which visitors will be able to experience live at the event, will be equally spectacular. The DP1.2-VisionXG system is a powerful KVM extender to extend high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz — pixel-perfect, uncompressed, without any loss, and latency-free. The extender system transmits 8K resolutions up to 10,000 m via optical fibers. In this way, the system enables remote operation of a computer without the need for it to be physically available at the workstation.

In order to round off the presentation of their high-quality portfolio “made in Germany”, the KVM experts will also advise visitors on all aspects of their classic KVM product range. Just recently, the company expanded its portfolio by six new expansion stages of the classic matrix systems. The ControlCenter-Compact series offers a wide range of functions and signals, including loss-free transmission and switching of video signals up to 4K at 60 Hz.

System interoperability for an efficient broadcast workflow
Together with their partner DIGIcas, G&D will show how their systems work with original broadcast equipment. Therefore, DIGIcas as a representative of renowned brands such as Ross Video, Embrionix, or BFE present their expertise as system integrators for best-of-breed concepts. Of course, these concepts require the interoperability of the different components. G&D’s matrix systems interact perfectly with the BFE KSC Core media control system to provide optimum access to Ross & Co servers. Such intuitive operating concepts ultimately provide producers with the best possible usability.
