NAGRA Dives into Live Stream Protection, Anti-Piracy Education at the SportsPro OTT Summit 2018

OTT streaming infrastructures have drastically democratized how consumers access live sports content, driving a rapid evolution in consumption habits and expectations. But they have also opened the door to new forms of piracy — and live sports is a prime target.

In the session “Protecting premium live sports from streaming piracy” on Wednesday, November 28 at 16:00, Simon Trudelle, Sr. Director Product Marketing, along with other panelists, will address how rights holders and broadcasters can protect their streams and prosper in the new OTT economy, and to what extent the challenge of monitoring streaming activity and protecting copyrighted sports content has grown more complex.

“Ultimately, the key to fighting streaming piracy of live sports requires a combination of technology, collaboration, and innovation,” says Trudelle. “With the right tools and expert help, sports content owners can protect their premium content assets and fight pirate services across all distribution networks to ensure the best experience possible for their fans. I look forward to sharing more at SportsPro OTT Summit.”
