Atlanta’s ELEAGUE Arena To Host ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup in May

ELEAGUE and Electronic Arts will further build on their partnership when ELEAGUE hosts the ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup – the penultimate Licensed Qualifying Event of the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 Global Series –– Saturday-Sunday, May 4-5, inside ELEAGUE Arena at Turner Studios in Atlanta. Live tournament coverage will begin at 10 a.m. ET each day, across Twitch and the B/R Live premium sports streaming service.

Tournament Format
The ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup will feature 32 of the world’s elite professional players – 16 each on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles – contending for valuable Global Series Points, with the ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup Champion earning 850 points and the largest share of a $30,000 purse. The ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup will be the second-to-last Licensed Qualifying Event of the year, marking one of the final opportunities players will have to climb the Global Series Rankings and qualify for Playoffs and the FIFA 19 eWorld Cup.

ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup Commentators
ELEAGUE will turn to an expert lineup of FIFA commentators for its live tournament coverage, including host Kevin Egan, JP Pillat on play-by-play and analyst Aaron West as they make their debuts at ELEAGUE Arena. Analysts Mike LaBelle, Chu Morah, Dan Gaskin, and play-by-play announcer Scott Cole will all return from the ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February.

ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup Qualifying
All FUT Champions Verified competitors (more information available here) received an invitation directly from EA SPORTS to participate in the ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup open online qualifiers. The qualifiers – held in March – determined the 32 top performers – 16 each for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms – invited to compete live at ELEAGUE Arena in May. More information about the roster of players set to compete in the ELEAGUE FIFA 19 Cup – including key competitors to watch – will be shared in the coming weeks.

TBS to Exclusively Televise All-New Episodes of ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February
Throughout the weeks leading up to and following the live tournament, fans will be able to enjoy all-new ELEAGUE FIFA 19 esports coverage via seven consecutive weeks of hour-long episodes focused on the successful ELEAGUE FUT Champions Cup February. The first episode will debut Friday, April 19, at 11 p.m. ET/PT, and the series will continue weekly through Friday, May 31, with all episodes airing exclusively on TBS.
