Live From MLB All-Star 2019: Fox Sports’ Brad Cheney, Francisco Contreras Run Down Latest Tech Innovations in Cleveland

The MLB All-Star Game has become a real-world laboratory for the folks at Fox Sports, and this year in Cleveland is no different. Inside Progressive Field, the network will launch highly immersive technology, including DirtCams at first base, second base, and home plate; multiple high-speed cameras; a SkyCam above the field of play; and the Virtual Eye that is typically seen on Fox Sports golf coverage.

Brad Cheney, VP, field operations and engineering, Fox Sports, and Francisco Contreras, director, field and technical operations, Fox Sports, chatted with SVG’s Jason Dachman about how these implementations will give fans unique views of the action and educate the casual viewer on the nuances of the game.
